Fourth of July

Independence Day is on its way, and this year’s celebrations feel especially meaningful as America marks its 250th anniversary. Here in Park City and throughout the Wasatch Back, our communities are gearing up with classic Fourth of July traditions from early morning races and hometown parades to family activities, live music, rodeos, and evening fireworks. However you choose to celebrate, we hope your holiday weekend is filled with sunshine, community, and plenty of red, white, and blue!

CITY-WIDE CELEBRATIONS

Park City’s 4th of July celebration is always packed with festivities and fun, and this year marks an especially meaningful milestone: America’s 250th birthday. Enjoy a full day of patriotic celebrations, including the historic parade, food trucks, family activities, live music, and more. Park City Resort will also host an assortment of activities throughout the day. Don’t miss the drone show, beginning at 10:00 p.m.

5k FUN RUN

Park City’s annual 4th of July Fun Run is back, supporting Park City Ski & Snowboard and our local youth athletes. This beloved tradition dates back to the early 1980s. Participants of all ages are invited, with medals and prizes from sponsors. 
Register early, as same-day registration is not permitted, and registration is capped at 1,000 runners!

Celebrate the 4th of July in true small-town style at Midway’s annual Independence Day celebration. Hosted by Midway Boosters and Midway City, the day kicks off with a pancake breakfast and the Children’s bike parade, then wraps up with a spectacular fireworks show from Memorial Hill.

Utah Named Best State
for Healthy Aging


Utah has been named the best state in America for healthy aging, according to a recent report from America First Healthcare. The ranking looked at health, affordability, social well-being, and environment, with Utah earning top marks for low smoking rates, low poverty and food insecurity, strong civic engagement, and a connected, community-driven lifestyle. Colorado and Vermont rounded out the top three, while Florida, long considered a retirement favorite, ranked 35th due to affordability challenges, social isolation, and food insecurity.
