Eat Like a Local

Not only a great Mexican spot, but also a drive-thru — convenience and flavor in one. They have big fajitas and even a 99¢ mini bean & cheese burrito that is seriously good. When I don’t have the brainpower to cook, this is where we roll through. Good Tip: I get the rolled tacos with guac, think taquitos!

Family-owned since 1979, Davanza’s is a true local fave for pizza, tacos, burgers, and their famous Philly cheesesteaks. It’s casual, laid-back, and all about high-value comfort food. I’ll be honest — my husband isn’t sold on the pizza, but my son and I swear it’s the best in town. Don’t overthink it — order what you’re craving, because everything here is friendly.

Fondly known as “El Chub,” this Bonanza Drive strip-mall gem is where locals go for fast, flavorful Mexican food. It’s old-school, affordable, and always hits the spot. The salsa bar is legendary, and the plates are as authentic as they come. This one of my husband Jeff’s faves — he loves good Mexican.

If you want food that’s fresh, flavorful, and just plain beautiful, Five5eeds is your spot. The Aussie roots show in everything from shakshouka to avo toast, sweet banana bread with espresso cream, and açaí & smoothie bowls that brighten your morning. Serious coffee, too — they’ve nailed that. Good Tip: Try the “OG PC Superfood Grain Salad” or the Bacon & Egg Breakfast Sandwich; both are among my favorites for when I need something filling but not heavy.

Casual and easy, Fuego is the kind of place that quickly becomes a go-to. Wood-fired pizzas, tasty apps, and fresh salads make it perfect for a night out — or for take-home pizza (our move). Save room for dessert — the tiramisu is seriously SO good.

Reservations

Fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced, Ganesh has been a Park City takeout staple for years. The recipes are traditional, the quality is high, and locals (my daughter Amy and I included) keep it on speed dial. We always go for the naan and chicken coconut korma. Good Tip: The ambiance inside is quiet and low-key, but the takeout counter is buzzing — order ahead and you’ll see why this spot remains a favorite.

A true hidden gem, Sammy’s brings good food at prices locals love. What started as a Park Silly Market booth is now one of the busiest casual spots in town. The menu is huge, the vibe is easy, and you’ll always find something that sounds good. Good Tip: They don’t take reservations and it’s always crowded — go early or go late if you don’t want to wait.

Born from the pursuit of the perfect falafel, Nosh is a fast-casual gem serving fresh, healthy, and seriously flavorful Middle Eastern–inspired dishes. It’s quick enough for grab-and-go but tasty enough to linger. Good Tip: Their takeout holds up beautifully, and they do excellent catering for get-togethers.

Dine in the restaurant for melt-in-your-mouth steaks and superb service. Head to the Piano Bar for a less formal experience with the same menu that makes the restaurant famous, and this is also where the fun goes down late at night with friends. You can gather around, request a song, and keep the night going. Always a good time.

Not technically a restaurant, but absolutely a local cult favorite. Baked fresh daily in the back of The Market (our locally owned grocery store), this bread is pure carb heaven. Good Tip: Buy two sticks — one for the house and one for the car ride home, because trust me, it’s impossible to wait. They call it “crack bread” for a reason.

With the motto “Get fed. Get full. Get happy.” Maxwell’s does exactly that. It’s every kid’s favorite, a go-to after a full day of adventure or sports. Their Fat Kid Pizza was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We’re a house divided on best pizza, but this is my husband Jeff’s favorite. Save room for the pazookie at the end. Warm, gooey, and worth every bite.

A refreshing take on healthy dining, Vessel makes fresh, locally sourced food that’s casual, flavorful, and good for you — breakfast, lunch, or dinner, seven days a week. It’s also one of the best takeout options in town. My daughter would eat here every single night if she could — and honestly, I get it.
