Blind Dog is way more than a sushi bar — though the sushi is really good. Think steaks, seafood, and indulgent “bakes” that locals crave. Good Tip: Grab a bar booth (never the dining room) and settle in for pork dumplings, a killer happy hour on the Blind Dog “Beach,” and, in summer, that back deck with mountain views.

Hearth and Hill has become a Kimball Junction staple — casual, lively, and perfect for everything from brunch to a bar catch-up. The menu is all over the map in the best way: ramen, Korean fried chicken, Utah trout, or a make-your-own Old Fashioned. The scallion pork gyoza and cheddar biscuits are good. Also, check out Hill’s Kitchen café for the morning bun or their full catering.

From the team behind Tupelo, La Stellina brings the kind of soulful Italian cooking Chef Matthew Harris craves himself. Think recipes passed down by Italian nonnas, reimagined at the base of the St. Regis. Order like you’re in Italy — slow down, share plates, and don’t skip the pasta.

A true local favorite, Silver Star is cozy, rustic, and perched with unbeatable mountain and town views. The menu shines from elk burgers and mahi tacos at lunch to turkey meatballs and osso buco at dinner, plus that salted caramel brownie is so good. Good Tip: Time your visit around a hike or ski on Armstrong, then settle in on the patio for live summer music and a well-earned meal.

A locals’ hangout through and through, The Boneyard delivers burgers, steaks, ribs — and a sister spot, The Wine Dive, with its own menu (you can order from both). Voted one of Park City’s top bars, it’s where friends meet for cards, apps, and a pint. Good Tip: This is my dad’s FAVORITE place and he always gets the pizza. I like the fish tacos, risotto balls, pretzels, or the Asian bowl.

My new fave, hands down. Troll Hallen nails the Deer Valley vibe — cozy, elegant, and perfect for après on the patio. The food is casual but elevated: think juicy burgers, dreamy pot roast, Swedish meatballs with mashers, and sticky toffee pudding worth every bite. Good Tip: Go post-adventure, settle in by the fire or on the deck, and let this happy place work its magic.

Tucked inside the Peaks Hotel, Versante is my easy-peasy go-to for Italian comfort food — pizzas, flatbreads, pastas, and seasonal specials that please everyone from grandpa to the grandkids. The vibe is casual, the pizza always hits, and in summer the lawn setup is extra fun. Good Tip: Grab a patio table for a laid-back family night that still feels like a treat.

Back on my radar — and apparently everyone else’s — Twisted Fern has become a hot locals’ spot again. The menu leans fresh and inventive (think elevated comfort with a creative twist), and the vibe is unfussy but polished. Good Tip: Book ahead — it’s been packed lately — and don’t skip whatever seasonal special the kitchen is featuring.

This Aussie-owned café (named for their five kids) is unassumingly delicious and always buzzing at lunch. Fresh, healthy food is the star — from the acai bowl to the shakshouka (everyone raves, even if it’s not my thing), plus salads that never miss. Good Tip: Go early — the line builds fast — and grab a flat white to feel like you’re brunching in Melbourne.

Classic comfort meets French technique here — think French onion soup, cassoulet, and beef bourguignon done right. The vibe is relaxed but refined, with big views, a fireplace, and a patio worth lingering on. Good Tip: You have to take the funicular up from the lower parking — but it’s fun and makes the whole night feel like an experience.

KITA is a Japanese-inspired steakhouse & mountain grill set in a sleek, modern space at Pendry — indoor, al fresco, and sushi bar seating make it perfect whether you’re dressing up or just craving something special. Sushi, Japanese grill favorites, craft cocktails, sake, wine — they’ve got all of it.

Casual, fun Mexican, Dos Olas brings fresh, bright flavors and a little California-coastal twist to Canyons Village. Perfect for sharing — think tacos, snacks, bold cocktails, and tequila/mezcal magic. Go on a weekend evening when the vibe is buzzing and order family-style so you get to taste more things.

From the owners of Five5eeds, Matilda is the newer spot that locals instantly fell for. Scratch-made sourdough pizzas are the star (you really can’t go wrong with any of them), alongside creative share plates. The vibe is relaxed but polished — exactly what you’d expect from this crew. Good Tip: The Kitchen Sink Chopped Salad is a meal in itself, but get a bunch of stuff ot share for the table!
